Laying pattern

Planks

An arrangement of straight, parallel planks creating a clean and contemporary look for interior flooring. This versatile design complements a wide range of interior styles, seamlessly blending into both modern and traditional spaces.

Herringbone

A V-shaped or zigzag configuration, resembling the skeleton of a herring fish. This classic design adds a timeless and elegant touch to interior spaces, in both modern and classic interiors.

Hungarian Point

Distinctive pattern with rectangular tiles or planks in a herringbone-like design, adding timeless elegance to both modern and classic interiors.

Wooden Floor Treatments

Brushed

Brushing the floor effectively eliminates soft particles, enhancing the natural wood grain, especially accentuated in grazing light.

Deep Brushed

Deep brushing meticulously removes softer wood elements, intensifying the natural grain. Illuminated by grazing light, it showcases at its best. This treatment echoes the 'Brushed' technique but with added intensity.

Distressed

Distressed wood refers to intentionally aged or weathered wood, creating a worn, rustic appearance that mimics natural wear and tear over time, giving the wood a rustic, antique, or vintage look.

Edge Distressed

Edge Distressed refers to a technique where the edges of the individual planks are intentionally aged, worn, or distressed to create a rustic and authentic appearance.

Fine Sawn

Fine Sawn refers to a specific surface texture achieved through a sawing technique. Fine sawn wood has been cut using a saw blade with fine teeth, resulting in saw cuts on the surface of the wood.

Scrubbed Knots

Scrubbed Knots is a treatment where the edges of the knots are intentionally scrubbed to enhance their appearance, giving the floor an extra lively and lively look.

Smoked

Smoking involves treating the wood with an ammonia solution, which reacts with the tannins present in the wood. This chemical reaction results in a darkening of the wood, giving it a richer, deeper color.

Reactive Stain

"Reactive Stain" involves staining wood with an acidic solution that reacts with natural components like tannins. Unlike traditional stains, it triggers a chemical reaction with wood fibers, resulting in distinctive and varied color effects.

Thermo Treated

The thermal treatment typically involves subjecting the wood to elevated temperatures in a controlled environment, often in the absence of oxygen. The process can alter the color of the wood, giving it a darker, richer appearance.

Hand Scraped

Hand scraping is a manual process in which skilled craftsmen use hand tools to intentionally scrape the surface of the wood. This technique creates a textured and sloped surface, simulating a desert-like surface.

Floor Heating

All Solidfloor floors are suitable for installation in combination with floor heating with a water pump (up to 27˚C). However, one floor has a better heat conduction than the other and is therefore more efficient in energy consumption. This is measured by the R-value of the floor. The lower the R-value, the better the conduction and the more efficient the energy consumption. Our floors are not suitable for laying in combination with infrared or electric floor heating because these types of floor heating produce too sudden and/or too local heat.

Registered Embossed (EIR)

Registered embossing is a more advanced technique where the surface texture is synchronized or aligned with the printed design layer of the flooring. This technique ensures a more realistic and authentic appearance.

Embossed

Embossed flooring has a textured surface that is created by pressing a wood pattern onto the material. This embossing does not synchronise with the wood print of the design.

Structured

A structured surface has a textured finish that mimics the look and feel of natural materials such as wood or stone. This is the most basic Embossing in the flooring Industry.
